Swooning over the Football Billionaire by Ellie Hall
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is probably the strangest review I have ever written.
On my blog, Choose Life Choose Words, I list my criteria for a 4 Star Review and it is this: Did VERY LITTLE skimming. Kept me on the hook and not rushing to read the last chapter to see if the payoff was there.
Now, the above is true and therefore the book gets a 4 star from me in spite of the heroine making very little sense, the Disney World references being so off base, and quite a few grammar errors/sentence structure errors.
And the plot was completely unbelievable as was the setting in Concordia.
But I wanted to know what the deal was with Maggie and her parents. And I wanted to know what was haunting Declan from his past in Dublin. I'm also a sucker for the name Declan. That MIGHT have had something to do with it.
The Declan storyline was very satisfactory aside from the reason he met Maggie in the first place. The Maggie storyline paid off better than I thought it would in regards to her parents BUT I never felt she quite got to the place where she was letting go of what had held her back.
But I kept reading! And here I am giving it 4 stars.
